摘要
The project for the research of the pulse plasma reductive desulfurization tech-nology undertaken by Huazhong University of Science and Technology re-cently passed the research achievement appraisal in Wuhan,Hubei province.The technology combines special features of catalytic reductive desulfuriza-tion and pulse reductive desulfurization.A reducing agent is used to reducesulfur dioxide into sulfur elementary substance in presence of catalyst in ap-propriate reaction conditions.Sulfur elementary substance is then separatedand recovered.A small amount of residual sulfur dioxide has plasma treat-ment such as pulse charging to further increase desulfurization efficiency.Themethod has totally abandoned the technical mechanism of adding alkali sub-stances to conduct neutralization and absorption in traditional desulfurizationtechnologies and created a new concept of reducing sulfur dioxide into sulfurelementary substance.
