Catalytic esterification reactions of propionic acid with amyl alcohol by H 2SO 4 Graphite intercatalation compounds were studied, the effect of the amount of catalysts, reaction time. The mol ratio of amyl alcohol to propionic acid on yield were discussed. When the mol ratio of amyl alcohol to propionic acid was 0 1∶0 12,amount of catalysts was 3 7%(wt% of amyl alcohol and propionic acid) and reaction time was 40 min, yields of production was 95 6%.
