摘要
根据事物发展的规律，井盐生产之前还有一段漫长的被历史尘封而鲜为人知的自然盐泉采集和生产史。笔者通过对有关神话传说的演绎和考古发掘的考证，初步确定长江三峡地区自然盐泉的发现和最早的采集利用始于母系氏族社会的繁荣时期，即考古学上新石器时代的早期和中期。
Acording to the rule of thing,there was still a long history of gathering brine,that was ignored by man,before well salt production. The writer thinks that the discovering natural salt spring and the earlest gathering bring was in time of matriarchal society,that is the early time and middle time of stone Age.
