摘要
由Fauconnier和Turner等心理语言学家提出的概念整合理论是基于心理空间理论,进一步探讨人类思维和行为,特别是创造性思维活动的认知过程。该理论可以用来解释语篇深层连贯的机制。本文通过比较概念整合理论和系统功能语言学的相关理论在语篇连贯方面的作用,从而证明概念整合理论对语篇连贯具有极强的解释力。
Conceptual Integration Theory advanced by some cognitive linguists, such as Fauconnier and Turner, is based on the Mental Space Theory. This theory studies cognitive process of people＇ s thinking and activities, especially creative thinking and activi- ties. It can be used to explain text coherence in deep structure. Through comparing Conceptual Integration Theory and Systemic- functional Theory, this paper intends to reveal the role of conceptual integration in text coherence. In this way, it testifies the il- luminating explanation of conceptual integration.
