This article elaborated on main steps of the CATIA and VPM based 3D digital technology for the structure design.These steps include:definition of DMU in CATIA,data manegment in VPM,3D Functional Tolerancing & Annotations and standard-part Library.For the purpose of exploring specific technical process of realizing 3D digital structure design.
