摘要
黄勉之(1853-1919)是清末民初声震京师的琴家,其身世不详,留存史料很少。文章从黄勉之异于寻常的人生经历、古琴师承、教学和演奏特点及其琴学传承四个方面展开讨论。黄勉之师从剑师一元子、浙江萧山陶梦兰、广陵派琴僧释空尘等人学习古琴,派宗广陵。其弟子有杨宗稷、贾阔峰、张之洞、叶诗梦、溥侗、李济等人;其演奏指下的功夫很深,用指苍劲有力,力透琴背,弹琴时对吟猱、指法及乐曲的节奏、板眼等均十分讲究,处理得细致入微。而自幼习武练剑和中年修行佛道的特殊经历,亦使他的琴声多了一种迥于凡俗的绝尘之气。
Huang Mianzhi(1853-1919)was a renowned qin master in Beijing,during the late Qing and early Republican periods,but his life is unknown and very little historical information has survived.This article discusses Huang Mianzhi’s life experience,his mastery of the qin,his teaching and performance characteristics,and the inheritance of qin heritage.Huang Mianzhi studied the qin under the master swordsman Yiyuanzi,Tao Menglan from Xiaoshan,Zhejiang Province,and the monk Shi Kongchen from the Guangling qin School,belonging to the Guangling School.His disciples included Yang Zongji,Jia Guangfeng,Zhang Zhidong,Ye Shimeng,Pu Dong and Li Ji.His performance is delicate,paying strong attention to the rhythm,the fingerings,and dynamics of the music.The special experience of practising martial arts since childhood and Buddhism in middle age has also given his qin performance an aura of absolute simplicity that distinguishes him from others.
