北武夷地区位于华南扬子板块与华夏板块结合部北武夷地区钦杭结合带的重要组成部分。在对其矿产分布规律进行总结的基础上,初步界定了北武夷山主山脉为中亚带,以其为中心具南北两侧近对称的矿产分布规律。北成矿亚带位于钦杭结合带萍乡—广丰深大断裂之南拼贴带上,在北武夷地区为铁砂街—西裘铜成矿亚带;南成矿亚带则由中南武夷与北武夷分界线的深大断裂(南平—宁化断裂)控制的行洛坑—西坑钨铌钽成矿亚带;北成矿亚带与南成矿亚带之间与武夷山主脉之间分别为铅山—江山成矿亚带、广昌—建阳成矿亚带,具相似的成矿地质环境,后者有找寻"永平式"铜矿床的潜力。
The northern Wuyi area, located in the joint area of Yangtze plate and Cathaysian plate, was an important part of Qinzhou- Hangzhou juncture zone and was characterized by series of Mesozoic volcanic basins. In this investigation, based on the review of the distribution features of the deposits, the authors proposed a suggestion that the main peak of the northern Wuyi was a middle sub-belt, a symmetrical N-S distribution from this belt could be established and named as the northern sub-belt and the southern sub-beh. The northern sub-beh was located along the south of the Pingxiang-Guangfeng fault of the Qinzhou-Hangzhou juncture zone, and called Tieshajie-Xiqiu sub-beh in northern Wuyi area, while the southern sub-beh was located in Xingluoken-Xiken W-Nb-Ta mineral belt under control of Nanping-Ninghua fault, a boundary of the north and central-south Wuyi. The three sub-behs were of similar geological settings, among them there existed in Qianshan-Jiangshan sub-beh, the Guangchang-Jianyang sub-belt; the latter was of potentiality for finding Yongping-type copper deposit for it was of similar geological settings with the others.
