利用光学滤波器将宽带光源的光谱进行分割 ,并将分割后的窄带光谱调制 ,从而用来传输数据的光谱分割技术对于波分复用 ( WDM)系统是一种低成本的解决方案 .在分析掺铒光纤放大器 ( EDFA)自发辐射 ( ASE)光谱特性的基础上 ,研制了一种基于 EDFA- ASE可用于 WDM系统的宽带光谱可分割非相干光纤光源 ,并给出了在 2 .0 4 8Mb/s的调制速率下 ,1 0 km
The technique of spectrum-slicing is a low-cost approach to wavelength-division multiplexing system in which narrow bands are filtered from broadband source by optical filters and amplitude-modulated to transmit data. The spectrum characteristics of amplified spontaneous emission of Er-doped fiber amplifier were studied. A kind of broadband spectrum-sliced incoherent fiber source based on EDFA-ASE was presented, which can be used in WDM system. Data transmission of two spectrum-sliced WDM channels at 2.048 Mb/s over 10 km of normal fiber was reported.
