摘要
综述了中国园艺学者对中国菊花研究的主要成果,回顾了菊花起源的研究进展,分析了菊花育种研究现状,介绍了已经解析出的中国菊花的文化内容。提出中国菊花的魅力不仅在于她的变异奇特、品种丰富、用途广泛,更为重要的是其文化内涵深厚,是中华文明的重要文化遗产;从自然进化和人工创造变异的角度看,菊花本身蕴含着许多未解的自然科学之谜;开发和应用多样性的菊花品种资源是摆在中国园艺学者面前的一项极具挑战性的任务。
The author reviews the research achievements of Chinese chrysanthemum made by Chinese scholars. Studies on genesis of chrysanthemum, breeding and floricultural significance over 60 years are introduced. The author proposes that the fascinations of Chinese chrysanthemum are not only for its peculiar variation, diversity cultivars and widely utilization, but also for its cultural heritage. There are many interesting and attractive questions for scientists concerning the genesis and evolution of chrysanthemum. To make use of this germplasm resource is a tough task for horticulturists in China.
