莫言与福克纳的小说共同关注了动荡时期的乡土社会,并且塑造了一大批祖父辈英雄形象,区别在于两人对英雄的定义各有不同;他们也共同焦虑着英雄后代总的退化,但也都没有放弃重塑英雄的希望。
Faulkner and Mo Yan paid attention to the country, and shaped lots of heroes, but they had different definitions of hero. They also worried about the degeneracy of heroism, but both still did not give up the hope to arouse heroic spirit.
