摘要
20世纪80年代至今20多年以来,语言学界对语言符号任意性的讨论十分活跃,新的论著也越来越多,其研究涉及到语言符号的本质到底是什么,任意性与理据性的关系、任意性与象似性的关系等方方面面的问题,并引发了一系列的争论。本文试对此进行一次比较全面的回顾总结,并提出自己的一点看法。
Since the end of 1980s, the arbitrariness of linguistic signs has been under heated discussion, and more and more articles appear, concerning topics like the essence of linguistic signs, the relations between arbitrariness and motivation, the relations between arbitrariness and iconicity. The paper tries to make a comparatively comprehensive review and puts forward some opinions on those topics.
