Six Chinese isolates of Riemerella anatipestifer were serotyped by agar gel precipitation, slide and tube agglutination tests using non-adsorbed and adsorbed antisera. These strains were identified as serotype 10, but they showed distinct from known 4 subtypes of serotype 10. So the isolates represented by C919 were serotyped as subtype 5 within serotype 10.
