摘要
莫言像福克纳那样构建了自己的故乡神话 ,但对这“神话”的阐释 ,却呈现着不尽相同的文化意蕴与个性风格。莫言的“故乡神话”无论从主题、形式乃至内在精神 ,都与福克纳的创作之间发生了一定的“位移” ,其中折射出中国的“现代性”之艰辛而独特的进程。
Like Faulkner, Mo Yan constructed his own hometown mythology, but his elucidation of this'mythology'shows quite different cultural implications and individual styles from those of Faulkner. No matter on the thematic or on the formal level, or in spirit, Mo Yans'hometown mythology'is somewhat removed from Faulkners. This indicates that the Chinese process of'modernity'is difficult and unique.
