摘要
《文物》杂志从创刊开始,就注意了寺院艺术的考察与研究。1951年配合敦煌文物展览,出版了敦煌特刊,对敦煌文物与艺术作了全面介绍,并刊出了专题论文,1956年以后又相继发表了有关敦煌的研究文章;1951年以来,又发表了甘肃麦积山、炳灵寺、天梯山、新疆等地石窟的考察报告;
Since its first issue, Wenwu has published many reconnaissances on grottoes of Dun-
huang,Gansu and Xinjiang; later, from 1960s onward,essays on the mural paintings of the
Yongle Temple; in the 1980s,essays on mural paintings in Shanxi and Tibet. All these are
important for further research.
Based on the data provided by Wenwu, this essay presents itself as a comprehensive
study inquiring into the relationship between murals of various temples,the change in their
themes and their influence on each other. Some widely accepted theories are also ques-
tioned in this essay.
