摘要
随餐口译具有内容复杂、功能多元和即时双向的典型特征,其口译过程与会议口译有着显著区别。本文以功能对等理论和纽马克对语言功能的划分为基础,提出文化释义、文化增译与省略、"有温度"的口译、善意的"谎言"等随餐口译策略,并基于随餐口译现场语料分析上述策略的实际应用,达到缩小文化差异,增进双方的文化认知和理解的效果。
With complex content,multi-dimensional function,immediacy and bidirectional communication as its typical characteristics,banquet interpreting significantly differs from conference interpreting.Based on the functional equivalence theory and Newmark’s theory on language functions,this paper proposes four banquet interpreting strategies:cultural paraphrase,cultural amplification and omission,interpretation with literary grace and white lies.It also analyzes the application of above strategies based on on-site speeches,aiming to bridge cultural gaps while enhancing mutual understanding of cultures for both parties.
